Flashback to the 80s

We were walking through Walgreen's collecting last minute Items when I found and immediately had to purchase this:

Fisher Price apparently makes them still. (Actually, they got a cool toy company to make them instead.)

Does anyone else remember this guy from their childhood? Well, Cletus is getting one regardless.

Is it sad that I bought one

Is it sad that I bought one for myself a few months ago when I have no immediate plans to reproduce?

Technically

It was the 60s. Introduced in 1962, the Chatter Telephone™ was designed with a rotary dial to teach children how to dial a phone. Today’s Chatter Telephone makes children smile just the same with eyes that roll up and down, and a dial that rings.

yaaaa

i never had one, because we didn't exactly grow up with toys.
a few stuffed animals, but that's about it.
we had cousins and friends who had toys though.
and that one was one of my favorites to steal from them.
that, the see and say, toy xylophones (most musical instruments), sit and spin and the bouncy ball thingy with the face you hold onto... something jumper or bouncer...
whatever.
and thank you, anonymous coward, for your fun facts.
;)
